2009 Road King I am 6'2 180 with the stock shocks and a 1" lowering block bike bottoms out with 5w fluid. Pumped out the 5w and added 7w no bottoming but now the bike rides harder than before. I lowered the air pressure to 2lbs still too firm. Is there anyway to get what I am looking for outta these stock shocks. I am starting to believe I am going to have to get progressive shocks. Any imput about suspension upgrades are welcome.
They're pricey, but Harley's Premium Touring Shocks are much better than stock.
How would u describe better, are they softer, and are they adjustable? I also want to get rid of the lowering blocks but wanted to keep it lowered, are the premium shocks lower than stock?

Fully adjustable for your riding preference. They make them in standard height and 1" lower.
No matter what you do, a lowered vehicle is going to ride rougher than a stock height vehicle. Sure, there are specialty shocks that help, but it's still not like having the full length of travel to absorb the blows. You trade some comfort when you lower any vehicle. And Harley's don't have a lot of room to play with to start.

I went from the 12" for the same reasons to a pair of Ultra take offs, the increased travel made a huge difference for a more comfortable ride and not bottoming ! Then to the Ricors. Your lowering kit with the 13"ers will take you back to the stock height and a halfways decent ride. It would help if you had a few more helpings of potatoes at 6-2" at only 180 lbs..
