Threeten, Been watchin this thread for quite some time and am very impressed with your commitment to this project, KUDOS. I guess you could say I'm kinda old school cause I don't have one of those Smart phones. Wife just got one of the Kindle Fire pads. It is Wi-Fi and supports android apps, supposidly. Played with it for a while today but couldn't load your app. Am I wasting my time or will it work? Was hoping for it to load then carrying it on long trips. Thanks .....Ol' Man......
I'm not familiar with Kindle, but it seems like it should work.
Do you have access to the Android Market? My app is not in the Amazon Market. Pm me with an email address, and we'll see if we can sort it out.
Just got my wife the Kindle Fire. I'll see if she'll let me try to download the app. If I can, I'll let you know if it is possible and if there are any special steps.

That would be great, thanks Adrian. I can always email it if Kindle will allow you to install from "unknown sources".
I would join the Amazon Marketplace and post it, but Amazon requires a $99 fee annually. Thats too much to post a free app.
As of right now, I haven't found a way to install on the Kindle from the Android Market. On the plus side, I did install it on the wife's Droid 3 so if I somehow lose my phone while she is with me...

Will Kindle let you install apk's that are emailed to you? Probably not, but maybe you can check.
I checked Amazon's market again this afternoon, and found out that they are waiving the $99 developer's fee for one year. I created an account and uploaded the app, but Amazon has to test it first, and approve before they will publish it in their marketplace. They are not quite as liberal as Google.
I'll make a post here when / if it becomes available from Amazon.
Threeten, Thank You for searching this out for the Kindle Fire. I do believe it will be benificial to me as well as some other "Oldtimers" that are still out on the open road. I would have PM'd you but couldn't find where to access private messaging. Seems like forums are different in many ways. Thanks Again............Ol' Man..
The 2007 PIN override doesn't use the 12th step that is currently listed. BUT, if you use the procedure exactly as it appears in the app, it works on the 2007, it just turns on the right turn signal after the override. So it is not imperative that you put out a 2007 specific override procedure.
