on my wifes 2006 streetglide i was looking for a oil leak and what i found was. just below the crank position senser there another plug its covered with oil i think this where the leak is coming from. what is this plug for and how hard is to change it on my own anyone have any insight on this plug. thank in advance.

My guess is you are looking at the alternator plug. My shovel head actually had pins in there and you could unplug the regulator at that point. The parts list doesnt show the cable from the alternator to the regulator as a seperate wire and it now plugs into the regulator at the regulator. To remove I think you woul need to go into the primary and pull through to the inside. This could be a big job if you aren't tooled for it. (In the toolbox and the mechanical capacity). I would try it anyway. You can buy the tools for the stealers price and have money left over to F**k up a few things and when it's over you will have the tools and the experience.
