I bought me a 2010 Ultra Classic this past weekend and just love it. As I was cleaning it up I notcied there is a sticker on the top of the air filter cover. It is orange with "WARNING" printed boldly on top with a bunch of dumbass statments that read like "motorcycles are not like cars". I guess its one of those Ralph Nader stickers. It's ugly as hell.
That sucker is stuck on there pretty good. What would be the best and easiest way to remove it without scratching the chrome?
Take you bike for a nice ride. It will heat up the air filter cover then remove that cover as others have said. The decal is probably under the gasket so it will be easier to remove it with the cover off. With the heat of the engine it will Peel off pretty easily then I've used a bit of goo gone which cleans up any residue left behind.
Peel the sticker off as others have said. Spray a liberal amount of brake cleaner on a shop rag. It will easily remove the glue residue with just a couple wipes.
