Doe sanyone know if the Works make a shock for an 06 Road Glide????? I am looking at their HD application guide and it shows only 80-89 FLT nothing else.....I will try to call but was just wondering if anyone knew....
What is the shortest length Progressive 440 that you can put on your bagger, without tearing up your wiring harness? My S/G has the 12" stock shocks on it, would like to get another 1" lower.

A very short girl I know rode a Roadking for a while with 12" shocks & a 1" TJ-Products lowering kit.
I'm not sure how well it worked & she ALWAYS rode solo.
Denispetit,
I have Progressive 440's 11.5" shocks-I ride two up more than 50% of the time and the fender never bottoms out onto the tire (I believe it is physically impossible)-so your wiring harness would be safe with this size shock.

I had installed a lowering kit on my bike with the factory shocks. I rode 2 up for a while and noticed that the rear tire was tearing up the wiring harness (runs above the tire, stuck to fender). I don't think that it is impossible, but if you have the right shock, it wouldn't allow the shock to compress that far.
Some guys that have the Draggin' Bagger setup tore up their harnesses from riding fully down.
But thank you for that info. I will look into the 11.5" 440's. I will be installing a 21" wheel up front soon, and it will raise the front of the bike a bit. Wanted to compensate by lowering it some to keep me flat footed. As it is now, my 28" inseam is begging for every inch I can lower it.

Thanks. I believe my shocks are 12" from the factory. I would not ride again with a lowering kit (one that angles the shocks back) again. Did nothing but give me grief (mostly when 2 up). I am not sure if a TJ Products is the same or not.
If she is light and solo, it might work for her. But as you can see from my sig, I'm not one to turn food away.
Just an FYI about WORKS....I had them on my '06 Bonneville and it didn't make bit of difference really. The ride was harsh stock and still harsh with the WORKS shocks after having them revalved a 2nd time. And they were $$$. After riding an Electra Glide it feels like a cadillac ride compared to my '06 Bonneville..which goes over bumps like a jackhammer.
