I just put an American Custom system on my Street Glide and couldn't be happier!
love the sound! enjoy the loss of heat and the price was the icing on the cake.

do yourself a favor and install some ViEd's from nightrider if you choose to go this route.
I dont buy anyones claim that you can install any parts that free up the flow of air and not richen up. for $120 its cheap insurance.

I have a great sounding free flowing exhaust for what most pay just for slip-ons.

Any 2-1 made by a reputable company will make more torque than true duals, however true duals and drag pipes can make more power above 5,000 rpm but who rides like that?

I have had Bassani Road Rage (medium volume) run really hot
Samson PowerflowII (switchable baffles so can change volume(noise) and flow)
Everyone loves D&D however the pipes stick out quite a bit off the rear cylinder and are noted to be kinda loud.
So it depends on what you want, true duals will lose some low end torque but run much cooler than a 2-1
Or you can stick with stock headpipes and install a Rush slip on. They sound great and have different baffle sizes for different noise and power levels.
I don't mike supertrapps as they are headache making pipes and I doubt you can get any flow out of the waffles without adding 25-35 plates, I never had one on a bike but a friend did. I had them on an older muscle car and they were brutally loud with any number of discs, they were actually quieter without the discs in the car..
These aren't fighting words so no flames, just opinions and what I've had and seen.

V&H Power Duals w/ V&H High Output, that has been a really good one for alot of different builds and matchs up with various intakes and maps. I think there are several others on here with this exhaust and sang it's praises before I bought, and they were all happy as I have been with my cams, AC, and tuner/tune as a functioning package. Very tight!

If funds are tight , the Vance and Hines Pro Pipe 2 into 1 is hard to beat.

If money is not an object , the LSR Black Hole would be my choice.
http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/lsr21blackhole.htm
Both are pretty sharp looking and perform very well.
The V&H is a bit loud compared to some systems.
For all out performance for a heavy bike , it's hard to beat any 2 into 1 setup.
The supertrapp is hard to beat for tuneability and is adjustable sound wise too , although it's pretty pricey too.
Power per dollar wise ,the 2 into 1 offers more performance than most other offerings.
My choice in systems was for a particular look and sound , not all out performance.

My Pro Pipe made really good #'s with Jamies tune. I think the complete pipe was around $450!! It is loud, but I kinda miss it.

My V&H ProPipe fit and finish were spot on perfect. Easy to remove baffle and repack or change packing to tune the sound to your liking. Performance increase in mid-range and low is a noticeable improvement especially over true duals. Like the TD look but hate the loss of low end.
