Earlier SE models like mine have the K&N washable element. Any of the free-breathers will move more air than your engine will inhale, so choose by size and appearance. I like this setup with the Evo-style cover because (Cali, lane-sharing's legal!) I run my highway pegs inside the crashbar and this narrow filter and cover allow plenty of legroom...

When I'm ready, I'm going with the Arlen Ness Big Sucker...

Performance plus appearance. I guess you have to decide on which combination you like (lots out there!). I installed V&H Bigshots on my Heritage so I went with the V&H V02 Naked intake with the skullcap cover.

Like Firetender said...if you like your highway pegs on the inside of your crash bars, this setup works for my setup too.

Ness big sucker was first change on my 2011 Glide and what a difference! Purchased on EBay for $105 easy install and kit had sucker 2 bolts which Ness swapped for free. Way to go I feel. Went with kit which used stock cover with chrome back plate.

I went with the Ness Big Sucker and color matched it to my bike. I think it looks pretty good.

Went with a PM cleaner on mine. Only small complaint is the foam gasket supplied is a hair too narrow and allows the trim plate to rotate behind the locking ring. Easy install and great looks!!
