Hey out there,
In the market for an A/C (stock now). How bout some suggestions?
I hear the Ness "Big Sucker" is alot of bang for the buck.
2011 Ultra Limited (103)
I use the Ness, it is a tidy install and has a washable, oiled filter media ( like a K&N).
The version with the chrome backing plate nicely complements the chrome highlights on the motor.
I got mine from easternpc on ebay, $115 shipped.
the screaming eagle has a paper filter, costs more and takes a minute or 2 longer to install.
either can provide air flow beyond what your motor could ever use.
make sure you order the version for your '11, --- 08 and up
tman. do those things still cost $650? I wanted one of those and would have one on my scoot right now but they were listed at $650 when they first came out. Too rich for my wallet.
Im happy with the Ness. If you like the round style filter and want to see the jugs its a good choice. The outer filter end is 5 1/2" dia. lots of cover options... go wild! lol
I have a Screamin Eagle backing plate with a K&N filter element. Works pretty well.
I read somewhere on here that the Ness setup works better and you end up with less blow-back of oil because of the mounting setup and O rings and bolts being sized a little differant???
...dont know if thats a fact or if the oil spray/blowback is even an issue on your bike.
