What rule says you have to look OVER the shield not thru it? I look thru it and ride just fine! It is nuthin but a misguided premise coming from riders that came from bikes that didn't have a windshield. There is nothing wrong with looking THRU a windshield. and No do not use Rainex it will ruin it. I use Plexus and it repels water just fine!

I agree; any rider that's ever been caught in a quick West Texas hail storm, will tell you that looking over the shield is not such a good idea.
My clear view shield allows the use of Rainex; but I don't use it, and no, I don't know why.
