I have it and greatly reduced the heat coming off the 103. Little deeper sound and was an easy install.

The power flex header is nothing more than a de catted stock head pipe. No tuner required.

I got the full set up from American Customs, the Powerflex header and the Bomber mufflers. I love the sound and the fact that they were guaranteed to fit but will need to get a tuner. They told me that there was no need for a tuner, and they are right, you don't NEED a tuner. My bike starts and drives and actually has a little more power and snap, but I also now have a little hesitation right around the 2,000 rpm range. I didn't have it before the exhaust and so far that is the only thing I have done motor wise. I am planning on getting the Stage I filter and Power Vision from Fuel Moto as soon as I save up enough.

Amenraa, beautiful color. I like that and thought about that before I went with the basic black. Very nice though.

acd, thanks

If you have a stage 1 tune already you will be fine. As some have experienced you might have some minor issues. I have not had any and the 103 runs alot cooler. Gas mileage stayed about the same for me.

My fuel mileage is still about the same. I don't have the stage I. I'm still all stock until I can afford to do anything else. I put wheels and chrome lowers on for asthetics, and got the American exhaust for the saound. I also noticed my bike runs cooler, just a little, but I never really minded the heat to begin with. I figure I will just skip the stage I and go with the filter and Power Vision as I plan on making some cam changes later on as money allows. Well, I hope anyway.

I am really thinking about going this route. I saw a 12 Ultra with this setup this weekend and they looked nice and the sound was exactly what I have been trying to find. Sent them a few questions yesterday once I hear back I think I am going to complete my order.

Default Agree on American Custom Systems

Agree with the above. I called and talked with them a couple of times. Tried the cored Bombers, first... was pleased with the sound and ordered the headpipes a couple of weeks later. Put 'em on and really like the sound, the increased performance (enough to be noticed), and the cooling was noticeable (replaced the fairing air temp with an oil temp gauge a few weeks prior to the exhaust change). I am quite pleased. Was thinking about getting the smaller baffles for early morning departures in the neighborhood, but none of the neighbors have mentioned hearing me quietly cruise out yet. The system will 'bark' when you get on it. But sound is so subjective. IMO, the sound on the bike is better than on their website. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

If you are looking for an inexpensive exhaust route that will work, this is it. Looks box-stock, sounds and performs so much better than OEM.
