just won bid on ebay for a set of screamin eagle street performance slip on mufflers p/n 80491-07 was wondering if anybody was running these and if had any info on performance and sound more concerned with performance but sound is always nice also going to add se air cleaner kit any info would be greatly appreciated.
i've got em on my 07 ultra classic. they sound just a little bit louder when the bike is idling, but as you get on her and open up the throttle they have a nice low rumble that is definately louder than the stock mufflers. but not as loud as the slip ons i had on my 06 heritage. they are loud enough for me. you should like them.
I bought the 07 Screaming Eagle (2 Piece) Touring Slip-ons. Haven't installed them on my bike yet. They have a 4" O.D. opposed to the 3.5 on the one piece model.
Wondering if there is much sound difference between the two types?
I really like the sound and loudness posted with the one piece slip-ons. Only reason I bought the 2 piece was so I could go Slash up.
Note: Bike is at dealer for the winter and having some other upgrades too. Otherwise I would have had them on already and tried them out.
I have the SE Street Performance one piece slip-ons on my 07 FLHT and agree with other posts. The idle sounds better and when you get on it, the sound is definitely a lot better than stock. According to the SE catalog the stock HP at rear wheel is approx 71 @ 4800 rpm and torque is approx 90.5 @ 3200. With the slip-ons and SE A/C, HP is about 78.5 @ 5000 rpm and TQ is about 95 @ 3200 rpm. Rough guess at reading graphs. The HP and TQ do not drop off as fast as stock. Wish they had listed figures just using slip-on upgrade. SE A/C is not needed with these mufflers. This is even stated in the Fall Enthusiast.
I was reading that the Supertrapp Super Elite mufflers ( notice the SE ) are 3 db louder than stock. Supertrapp made the Screaming Eagle mufflers for the MOCO before the EPA forced them out of the aftrmarket exhaust business.
I wonder if these are the same SE slip ons that HD was seling with a new name?
