Trying to put my 2006 Road King Custom wheels on a 2008 Ultra Classic with brembo brakes. The wheel diameters are the same, (16"). The problem is the axle sizes, the '06 is 1" and the '08 is 25mm. I have been calling dealers to try and find out if or what axle kit I need to do this.
Anybody done this before? What kit do I need? Does HD make a kit to do this? I was thing that #41455-08 is the one but I am not sure.
Im not sure but I would think you can buy the 25mm bearings to put in the 06 wheels. You would have to measure the hub bore on both and compare. I cant imagine HD would change the od of the bearing along with the id change. But Ive been wrong before.
I find it comical the dealer wont touch your question.
I have been looking to put a 2010 wheel on my 07 but the dealer says no one has ever tried it before so there is not enough info out there.
Im subscribing here to see what comes up, if I get a chance to get to the dealer this weekend I will mic the wheel and bearings. Sorry I couldnt answer your question. Someone will come along here and help
