You can get a submersible fuel line at Napa or a Gates submersible. That's what I replaced all my inter al lines with when I got a pin hole. There is a great pictorial step by step here somewhere. The best clamps are those constant pressure squeeze clamps. A high pressure line should do fine on the outside too. I would not use your regular fuel line in the tank because it will oxidize.Good luck.
Why guess, put Harley stuff back in it. But if you must and you know the plastic line is really like the plastic line in the tank us that. The normal pressure fuel hose inner liner is special (think teflon) and then nylon weave and then the outer protective rubber. Do not put that in tank. If I depended on bike I would put Harley. Only way you know it will at least last a while. Junk will not make it a year.
