Default True-track for the new frames?

I saw that they make a true-track for the 09 and up touring bikes. Has anyone tried it yet? I know the 09's and up have a new frame but my 12 doesn't seem really stabile on hard turns. Was thinking about trying this out to see if it helps but was wondering if anyone else has used it on the new frames yet.

I dont feel I need it on my 09, if you are having a problem with stability I would try and track it down rather than cover it up. have you checked that the steering head bearing is correctly adjusted as it will often break in over the first 1000 miles or so and the dealer is meant to check it and if required adjust it at the first service, but I suspect because its a pain to do many dealers dont bother. If the head bearing is ok then check the swing arm bearing.

I run one on my 2011 FLTRX , they claim it helps on turns but I put it on because going down the highway above 75mph it would feel like my rear tire was loosing air , it would get a little loose in the back end, tried it and it solved my problem

If you ride in a fashion, high speed sweepers etc., that the swing arm/transmission/engine rubbermounted section is deflected enough to problematic, you need a stabilizer. If you are having issues riding in a straight line then you have other problems and although a stabilizer may help it may be masking alignment issues that you should be addressing first. I don't care what year the bike is!

I'm running a 2011 RK and it does fine in every situation including turns. If they were having problems before I do not have any info on that. The steering head comes proctically dry from the factory tasking close to 3/4 tube of grease and that might have something to do with it.

The current touring bikes still have rubber mounts. They are a better design than older bikes, but Harley still insists on not providing a full set of stabilizers. Both my Sportster and Buell have rubber-mounted engines, but they also have three stabilizers, in other words a full set, as Erik Buell intended, when he invented the system.

The True-Track system provides the missing stabilizer and my experience on an older Glide and a Dyna is that even riding in a straight line those bikes feel more stable and agile.

My bike rides fine in a straight line and even at higher speeds, I just noticed when I corner hard it doesent seem too stabile. I already checked my steering head bearings and greased them up too. I thing im gonna give the true track a try and see if it helps. I dont have any other problems except the cornering so I think it will do the trick.

I'm not suggesting your bike doesn't ride fine in a straight line, but if you fit a True-Track kit you will find it rides even better than it does now, in a straight line! I said that to try to emphasise that stabilizers improve every aspect of how the bike rides, not just while going round corners.

if you have an unmodified 09 and later the tru track device should work out perfect. If you have changed your wheel set up you should use a 16" or 17" inch and no larger in the rear. still works fine. If you have lowered the bike front and rear and have an 18" rear wheel with a 200 mm tire you may not see the results that you hope for. Don't ask me how i know............jmtc

grbrown, better all around performance would be great I think im gonna give it a try.
toby34, my bike is lowered 1" all around but it didnt handle all that great when it was stock. Still have the stock 16" rear and 18" front wheels and tires. Im hoping the true track is gonna help the handling out a bunch.
