Default Guys with MS Batwing.. Which Windshield?

Have had my Memphis Shades batwing on for a thousand miles or so, the 5" black windshield definatley isnt cutting it for me (6'2) Just wondering what shields other guys are running, im quite sure any harley shield will fit these fairings with nothing more that a few tweaks with a file. I like the Looks of the Klock Werks Flare, buts its pricey. And ive been looking at the Long Ride Shields, and man do they look nice, and only 69.99?? These might be the way to go!

Anyways just wondering whos got one of these fairings? And what your windshield your runniing, Thanks.

Ended up going for a 9" shield. The Klock Works 6" flare at $170.00 didn't do it for me, too much buffeting. I'd suggest measuring from where the shield mounts to just under two inches from your eyes and getting a shield that legnth. OR you can just buy the half dozen I've got on the shelf LoL
I didn't mention that the KW flare was made for the MS batwing and that is why it is so expensive, pbobably better to just buy the KW batwing.

Hi KennyMay. We've designed our windshields with the idea that you would look over the shield by approximately 1" while sitting normally and looking 50' in front of you on the ground. With our recurve design, you'd have a nice "clear view" over the shield, but get the protection you are seeking. Riders worldwide praise the performance of our shields and I'd encourage you to give me a call if you'd like to discuss it further.

Have a great week!

I ran a MS Batwing on my fatboy for a while before selling it. Im 6'3" and on the fatboy probably sit a little lower than the riders position on a RK. I found that I needed a shield that at least was as high as my chin, somewhere between the chin and tip of nose was ideal.

I tried the KW, way too much buffeting for me, overall I found the MS 7" worked OK. But if I had it to do over Id look for a 7 with a recurve from an after market co, the recurve really makes a difference in allowing a shorter shield to be used. I think Cee Bailey makes one for the MS Batwing and I guess Clearview does as well since they posted here, I have heard good things about Clearview but never owned one of their shields. I have used Cee Bailey for my RG and their quality is outstanding

Just want to let all of you Memphis Shades Batwingers out there that we do indeed make our "Ultra" shield also for the MS. We don't have them on our website yet, but you can call me up or hit me an email and we can take care of things that way if you like. Same concept as our others. Top of the shield lines up with your upper lip. Bolts right on your MS Batwing with no mods. Have them in any tint and from 6"-12".

I'm 6"1 and I have the 7 inch and 9 inch gradient black
The 7 works pretty good but if I'm going on a longer trip I put on the 9 inch. It blocks everything and is just below my line of site.
This is the 7 inch in the picture.

Right on, thanks guys for the input. Im also planning a seat change(or mod) and this will drop me at least an inch. But thinkin im still gonna need at least an 8 inch, probably with the flare. And I think ill go with Long Ride, because there prices are excellent! Thanks again

I ordered the 7" black ultra Long Ride Shield from James today. I'll let you know how it works out after I install it.
