I get what looks like straight oil, not milky that would suggest reversion.

an ill-timed pressure wave or pulse can push air and fuel out of the cylinder ( past the open intake valve) and out the intake throat. the inside of the filter collecting the fuel.
it can be smelled, or if the filter is off, the vapor can often be seen
"milky" would suggest contamination of the oil by water
