running the bike in PA and then all of sudden the rear cyclinder shut down, and had to unplug PC 3 to get home, was wondering if it could be remapped instead of buying another unit.
Go to the Power Commander site. Download maps for the PC lll. Find the map that matches your bike. Hope you have the 9volt aux set up to provide power with PC off the bike. If you don't have aux power fitting you will need to reinstall PC lll on bike.
Now if you have a laptop or a real long USB cable, you can always ride the bike up to your desktop, turn power on bike, hook up USB to PCll, download your set up. Don't forget to download ignition table. Good Luck.
A Power Commander cannot lose it's map, it is written right to the board. If you hook up to the software and it states "no map loaded" it is referring to the software not the PC itself. If it has dropped a cylinder it is likely not a map issue you may have something else going on with either the unit, the connection or otherwise.
