Take either the MSF Basic Rider course or the Harley Rider's Edge before you take that new bike out into traffic.
<sigh> Yer absolutely right!! This is a dangerous enough sport as it is - we need to take every precaution possible! Ah take an ERC course every two years jest ta keep the skill honed. There's folks that'll tell ya how they're "too good" ta get any help from it - they're usually the ones that ya don't wanna ride too close to....
Congrats on the new toy!! Wives are great sometimes aren't they? After giving up my FXR years ago to buy something silly like a house, I got the mc urge again (actually never went away) in the spring of '05. Went looking at all the brands. My bride finally said that if I couldn't have a Harley, I reaaly didn't need a mc. Nice! parked the King in the garage later that day...
Anywho, you'll have nothing but fun on the new bike. Congrats again!
I already have the cataloge ,and starting to order some add ons like detachable backrest, and maybe one for myself to right from the factory.its got to be better for the back more comfort.thx again for the responses ride safe.
Congradulations! After you have become comfortable with your new ride, you will be amazed how you feel about the experience. You got me thinking about the first ride I ever took on my own Harley over 40 yrs. ago,and except for the youthful and inexperienced view of the world,I was the proudest young man on the planet. After all these years and a lot more experience,I am still very proud to be riding my Harleys.Just hearing it fire up every day just gets the juices flowing. My wife loved Harleys before she ever met me.What Luck! Have fun and be safe.Dog
