I have a 2010 SG and I am thinking about getting an oil cooler. Has anybody heard of the Jagg 10-row Low Mount Oil Cooler pn 07130066. Does anyone have this, or is there another one you would recommend besides the HD version.
Jag is a very good oil cooler but so is the Harley oil cooler! What is it about the Harley cooler that you don't like? The Jag low mount sticks out forward a little more on the touring models than I personally care for.
I went from the HD cooler (26155-09) to the Jagg fan assisted cooler (FP2400) this past summer.
The HD cooler was installed in August of 2009 and I put the Jagg unit on in July of this year.
I'm north of Chicago so we don't get as many hot days as you probably do but we have had days in the low to mid 90's.
The HD cooler kept the oil about 190° going down the road while the Jagg cooler runs about 170°. I'm not sure why the Jagg runs cooler unless its just more effective or the thermostat is set to open sooner. Either way, the Jagg keeps the oil cooler going down the road.
The fan on the Jagg also works well. It will not stop the oil temp from increasing when stuck in traffic but it does go up much slower than the HD.

Price versus results. I am one that believes not everything on my bike has to be made by the bar and shield

Between the two, I'd recommend the Jagg unit.
Hope this helps.
Ill be moving to Germany in January and when it comes riding season over there, I just dont want the bike to be too cooled off.

Gotta agree with ya! You can't go wrong with either but apparently you will be a little lighter in the wallet with the HD version. The only reason I'm going with HD is as I mentioned. Fits a little closer to the frame and not as noticable. Has nothing to do with the bar and shield in this case for me.

The above has been my experience also, except with a 103 and with the HD oil cooler I was at 260 and with the Jagg I am at 230. The Jagg works better.
Also on the 103 the Jagg cooler is a bit higher than the HD and does not get as much road dirt, mud, debris thrown up on the cooler.
Also, I am in Mississippi and during the summer we can have 30 days straight where daytime temps stay above 100.
170* vs 190* has to do with the thermostat (or lack there-of). The HD Cooler has a 190* thermostat so that the Oil Cooler doesn't come into play until the oil temperature hits a minimum of 190* This is a good thing. If oil temps stay too low for too long, water that condenses in the engine will not be expelled and the chemical reactions between the oil, the water and combustion blow by creates some very nasty acids that will damage the bearings in the engine over time.

Get the cooler Z, don't be a wallet rider!
Seriously though, I have a cooler on my cop bike.
One thing that comes to mind considering an aftermarket is how far it sticks out compared to an HD. Not a lot of room between it and the fender when you compress the front end on a pot hole or something.
