just heard from the dealer, who had just talked to the rep. He's in milwaukee for the dealers meeting, says he's going to meet with the power train engineers to try to figure out what the cause could be, wants to schedule me for late august/early sept. I guess thats it for a couple weeks, at least he's not blowing me off (yet)

Any update to what has been found? Having same issue with 2010 FLHX.
My passenger floorboards only vibrated when they were in the up position.
This started after a service. I found the pressure pin under the board was the culprit. not sure if this info will help.
Rep took it out for a couple of lengthy rides, said he had his hands all over the place trying to figure out where it was coming from. He described it the same way I did...an intermittant banging in the boards, that can also be felt to a lesser extent in the handle bars.
Same on mine, it's a solid, dull, type of knocking/banging...not really consistent but it's there. I'm still not sure what it is it could be but haven't noticed anything dire with either.
