Gotta agree, Ive tried "REAL" helmets and cant get over the Mushroom effect.

They are for "non helmet" guys that live/ride in states with helmet laws. Keeps u "legal"(got a helmet on), so far had good luck with mine!

Richard "Quig" Quigley was the activist in CA that went up against the CHP and made the helmet law virtually unenforceable in CA. As long as you have something on your head, you're good to go. You could probably get away with wearing a yarmulke, but I haven't tried it.
