Surgery day! Im high as a kite on pain killers right now. Just had my ACL reconstructed with a graft off my hamstring. in a huge brace and barely mobile but the surgery went well.
Now its time for rehab so i can start riding again.
funny side note I pissed of the doc because i wrote "NOT THIS LEG" on the non-injured leg in sharpie lol. Not taking any chances - especially with military docs!
Been their done that! Did allograft. OxyContin and percocets. It was a party. Til the oxy ran out... Stay focused on the rehab and you will be riding soon.
When I had shoulder surgery by a Army dr and I went in that morning he wrote on the arm to be operated his name and rank along with " correct shoulder" made me feel real safe and confident with his abilities (sarcasm). Needless to say I was med boarded shortly after surgery due to complications from the surgery.
I had knee surgery a year ago. I must have been asked 10 times what knee are we operating on today. Then the Doc showed up and put his initials on the correct knee. Soon after that the anesthesiologist showed up and said, " Here comes the happy juice". That's about all I remember.
