Default Problems with Performance Machine parts???

Has anyone else had any issues with the plating on Performance Machine parts? I've got a set of grips, and an air cleaner that the plating has come off. Grips are 10 months old, air cleaner is 7 months old. Both on my 2011 FLHX that has a little over 2000 miles on it. Always garaged, always covered, very well maintained.

Contact me via email at DREW@DRVTWIN.COM and I can put you in touch with the right person at PM. I was down there on Friday making new friends. All polishing and plating is done in house at PM.

You might also try “not covering your bike while it is in the garage”. That will trap moisture.
During the winter, I actually have a fan blowing air over the bike to keep the condensation off.

Its possible they just had a bad run of degreaser or something that messed with the plating.

I'm betting they make it right, the have a pretty good rep.

while i dont have chrome pm parts, their anodized/contrast cut parts are holding up well 11k on them. shifter is wearing , but thats expected with big clunky boots.

This gentleman called yesterday and apparently having to send the stuff in with receipts is the issue as he has a reciept for one but not the other. And, he is unable to have his bike down while he wiats for inspection on the parts as he uses it to get to and from work each day.
