Default what do I need?

I have a 2011 Electra Glide Classic Ultra. From what I have read, Ohlins is the way to go. The height from the stock shocks is ideal for me. I never ride 2 up and usually carry 15lbs of stuff in the trunk with the saddle bags mostly empty. a few times a year I do some traveling and the baggage goes up to around 50lbs distributed pretty much equally in all the bags. I weigh in at around 275lbs

What model do I need and roughly how much is this going to cost? I assume that I can install the new shocks myself.

Hi Bryan, from the UK. As a newcomer to HDF I strongly recommend you read up a bit on here, by using 'search' for 'ohlins' and look through recent threads. You will find, if you haven't already, that one of the site sponsors is an Ohlins dealer, who builds custom shocks for each customer. You can see Howard's prices on his website at Motorcycle Metal and having done so give him a call. He will explain the benefits of each version he supplies and guide you to the most suitable one for you.

Ohlins #3-3, are bolted up, with help from Howard. Took it out for a short ride, before starting the setup, wow what a difference, I can only imagine what it's going to be like once Preload, Damp & Reb are set. If you have been toying with the idea of purchasing a set, I think this will play out to be the best investment for my street glide yet...
