I know alot of folks say to use Windex. Do you use paper towels or a microfiber cloth with it? Say to get fingerprints off. Scared to put alot of pressure on it due to thinking it may "buff" it. How do you guys do it?
do not use any paper products on the finish of your bike. it will scratch it.
i know this is counterintuitive, but you can use some harley gloss after the windex to give it that 'showroom' look. no bs, look in the manual, it's in there as a recommended product.

Use a microfiber cloth or an old, soft white cotton T-Shirt. Also, Harley makes a Denim paint polish in a spray bottle that really works great. I never buy crap from the dealership, but this is one item that I do.
When I used windex before, it left my denim paint looking streaky the Harley denim polish does not streak. My 2 cents.
NOOOOooooooooo paper towels. Use the microfiber cloth. I found that RainX Auto Glass Cleaner (available at WallyWorld) seemed to do a better job at cutting thru bugs than Windex.
Someone mentioned Harley Gloss, I used Lucas Slick Mist on mine.

No paper towel ever! Microfiber or cotton only.
I've been using Lemon Pledge on my bikes for years and it works great. Lots of guys swear by it too.
I don't know about denim paint though. Try on a small/hidden spot and see if it works.
Agree...paper = "wood" so it's like polishing your scoot with tree bark. Micro towel & detail spray should work...take a look @ Wizard's products. I use on vivid black, but probably fine for denim surface too...
I know that they want to sell their own cleaner, but when i was trading in the fatboy (denim) for the street glide (denim), they told me not use window cleaner because most contain iodine? I cleaned the fatboy with it several times and never saw any problems so i figured it didnt hurt then why not keed using it. Anyone ever hear anything bad about using window cleaner?
