Shouldn't matter in my case as I have gutted the cat-- sure is a lot cooler down there these days!

added content: would work for me provided the fault was initially an excess heat related issue of course....

Well they now have a reason to their dirty hands on my bike.

Will be going in soon, looks like a 15 min fix that will take them an hour to complete..

Thanks for the info Dawg..

I just went and looked at mine on my 11 RKC I picked up 2 weeks ago. It's the old style switch. No wonder they go bad, it sets right by the CAT.

My 09 Ultra rear brake switch just failed with 32000 miles; out of warranty, so I'm glad to see the recall. I notice it wont kick out cruise with the rear brake application. Not too bad since I always use my front brake but it'll be good to get it fixed.
thanks Dawg!

Btw, just a heads up if your cruise control is not working there is a good chance that it is this sending unit that needs replacing. When it goes it keeps your brake lights on and sends a false reading to your cruise control that your brakes are being applied so the cruise will not set, hope this helps.
