Here are the 4" with gutted head pipe and stage 1 air cleaner and PC-V
Not real loud at idle, rumbly, but get on the throttle a lil and she'll bark at cha. Deep race car growl at throttle. Love the looks also.
I have heard the 3 1/2 on bikes on the street, dunno their total set up, they seem a bit louder, sharper loud, (not as deep as 4") going thru the gears
I think the 4" sound a little deeper but one of my mufflers the chrome is starting turn a gold tint and the coating on the tips is flaking off. I didn't have that problem on my 3 1/2"
Helped a buddy put the 4 inchs on last night and Rinehart didnt have and hardware in the box. Is that normal?? We checked muliple times, no clamps no nuts or bolts.

If I remember correctly from when I installed mine, there were no bolts/clamps included.
I re-used the stock hardware when I installed mine. I love the 3.5 and get told all the time that my bike sounds like a Harley should. I've heard the 4" and they did have a different sound but still sounded great. I think it will depend on what look you want.
I usually sell and install the 3.5" on 96" and down and the 4" on 96" and bigger. Seems like the 4's free up the bigger motors. I think the 3.5's soung better but thats up to the owner to decide. Go to your local bike night and just check each out and ask what they have done to there ride, and that should help with your decision.
Good luck.
The 3.5" are louder than the 4". The 4" are deeper and just a tad bit louder than stock.
I just installed the V&H Power Duals with my 4" Rinehart Slip-Ons and now I am completely satisfied. The sound is so awesome and the performance increases are noticeable immediately. I truly recommend going with this combo.
This setup brings out an awesome Sound at idle and even better when getting on it and switching gears. With this setup the sound is so far behind you the audio is not affected at all. The cars behind you may have an issue hearing. The low rumble is so bassy it now sets off alarms!

I am very happy now!
I was thinking I was going to get the full rinehart system...any reason to get the v&h instead of the true dual rineharts? seems itll be cheaper to get the full rinehart pipes?
