You can get the extended warranty until the day before your factory warranty runs out.
I'm sure they would be more than happy to trade you back. I think you will find the Limited has depreciated in the last two weeks and your 05 has appreciated though. Should be no problem, except I wouldn't bend over while I was asking them about it.

The big expense might be taxes. Not sure what the story in NC is, but in MI, you dont get credit for the trade, you pay tax on the whole new bike. Painful.
