This is a great filter that will flow more oil, filters cleaner and gives you an debris inspection when you clean it at oil change. Expect a 5 psi oil pressure increase. I have used these filters in every one of my vehicles including my drag car for the last 20 years. They make a specific HD application.http://www.system1filters.com/
Most of these "washables" clean down to 35 to 50 microns only. Have you asked the manufacturer what they rate their filter system for?

I’ve been using H-D filters for as long as I can remember. I get them on sale once a year and stock up. Just checked my H-D filters and didn't find any messed up gaskets. Like fishbust said, must be a bad batch.
