Default One last 2011 Run Hopefully

I'm going to try and get in one last ride this weekend before they start to spread the salt on the back roads up this way. Its suppose to be in the upper 30's to maybe 40 and dry for most of tomorrow before the next snow front comes in. Currently they have only laid salt down on the Interstate but In southern Vermont 6" of snow fell and I hear from a buddy down there it's over for them. At least as far as he's concerned, once that salt comes out, he parks it! Me to!

I agree.....once salt is on the roads, riding season is over. Still a couple or 3 weeks left here in Ohio (after I get my rear flat fixed today). Ride safe....

I'm going to leave work early today and try to get a good ride in. Might be it for the year. My final ride last season was the first week of December. I don't think that's going to be the case this year. The salt is coming!

Just got home from our Halloween annual run to Death Valley & Beatty NV and one more left on day after Thanksgiving day run to Ely NV weather permitting. There is a benefit of living in CA even though the price is too high.

After getting 24" of snow this weekend, I think the next ride will be to take it up to Concord for storage.

Each year is seemingly different. 2 yrs. ago I rode up until Thanksgiving. Last year Nov. 15th was as far as I would go. When the flakes fly it is time for storage. :-(

Hard to say here. Last year bikes went up for winter on November 1. Weather forecast says low 50s for highs by mid-week but dry and sunny. Once it drops below 60 for the highs I am less inclined to roll them out of the garage but we'll see.
