Two days ago while riding my 08 Eletra Glide Classic, the check engine light came on. After turning off the bike and restarting the light went off. The next day I had been riding again and the light came back on. I did the self Diagnostic test and I was given an error code P0572 Break Swith Low (PN 32933-08). I have attempted to find on the net what this meant and if there is a quick fix such as adding brake fluid or if it is something more. I don't want to pay Harley a small fortune if I don't have to. Any ideas?
I believe you're right. The list I seen is '09 and up, but I also seen someone state that their '08 was also re-called. Who knows. May want to go on harleydavidson.com (I think that's it) and type in your vin and see if there is one for yours. Otherwise, we'll treat this as a "BUMP", and maybe someone else that knows can help.
It is telling you that the brake light is stay on.
Check the tightness between the front break lever housing and the switch housing. If they are not TIGHT togetter the switch is turning the brake light on.
