Default Need to replace my 2005 Electra Glide 12" Windshield

Will the 10" Clearview "recurve" give me the same, or if not better results over my stock 12" windshield? Also, will a "smoke" windshield be hard to see through at night?

If you are going to look through it,and ride a lot at night. I would go with either clear,or a light smoke tint. I went with a 10" shield from Fastaire, and it worked out great. At $30 on Ebay you can't beat it.

The recurve shields perform like they are 2" taller. If your interested I have a 10" LRS FlatTop for sale in the classifieds. And for me the smoke shield hasn't effected my night vision.

the recurve idea is interesting aerodynamically- but trying to "throw" high pressure air above, creates a larger low pressure area behind it--- and that equals more air coming from below and the sides to fill it--- those type of air currents shake my glasses and my whiskers

-- for my $ I use stock H-D windscreens-- one took an apple sized rock that probably would have broken my face-- it showed a nick.

the H-D windscreen is easily cut down with a rotozip- cut the bottom ( hidden) edge- it's easy and take off windscreens can be found for $35 or so.

I match the windscreen to seat height because i change my seat for solo, in town or touring- so I have 9", 10" and 12"

I go for clear because in crap weather I tuck into it and need to see through it, other wise the top edge of the screen appearing to be at a point 40' in front of the bike is good for me
