Mine was done last Weds and I feel a mushy pedal too. Rode 700 miles since, but I use front brakes mostly and didn't hear anything. I will take it back.
They said that the brakes were bled / programed.
Makes me wonder!
After reading so many responses of people saying they have mushy brakes after the recall has been fixed. It seems like they are not bleeding the brakes and just replacing the switch. That is my assumption and it seems like they are not being proactive about doing things correctly.
Maybe the replacement part they are using is causing this mushy feel.
I'll wait until they find a better fix, then take by bike in. At the moment I dont have the time to drop it off the dealer since they are about 45 mins away.
I looked at my switch over the weekend and it has the beveled edges....then I checked HDs recall status on the web and my bike is not listed. I wonder when they figured this out and started switching.
Hi Guys, I brought my bike in this past Saturday and waited for it 1.5 hrs.
the brakes are as if nothing was done, the switch was changed and the anti lock system bled. all is well. i was skeptical going in and told the service mgr. my concerns. he assured me if the job is done correctly you should feel no difference in the brakes.
