As part of my winter project list, a hidden antenna is on the list. Can anyone recommend a high quality antenna? Everybody that I have talked to says they have had zero luck with anything other than the stock type.
I went with the HD offering, part 76000040.
I did notice a slight lose in reception but works well for me in FL. Don't have much of a terrain issue to deal with. I also picked up the plug to install when I removed the factory antenna.
For me cleaning up the rear end was more important.
Don't waste your money. I have a Dakota Digital. It does not work. / I am using the factory antenna right now.
I saw another thread on here that the op turnde the existing antenna mount and laid the antenna across the saddlebag bracket and under the seats edge, using tie raps. When everythings together, you can't see it. This is what I plan top do.
Save the cash,
Ken

Reason: Wrong thread referenced.
I got a hidden antenna with am fm and wb off ebay for less than $20 that works fine not as good of reception as original but not bad. I've been using pandora off me phone so don't listen to the radio as much.
