Default Technical help selecting a cam needed

Had a Street Glide, slipping over here with a question, lol

Here is the build: 2006 Heritage EFI I am hoping some of you motor heads / technical guys could give me some well thought out input.

Bore = 3.905 95.81 ci
Heads = 78 cc's Milled .050, Ported, Polished, Stock stainless swirl polished exhaust valve, Oversize 1.90 stainless swirl polished intake valve
Head Gasket = .045 stock
Pistons = 10.25 high compression dome cast
High lift .64 S&S valve springs
650 feet above sea level
Compression releases
Arlen Ness Big Sucker
D&D Long Riders
T Max AutoTune

I have an SE-204, SE=211 and SE-251 on the shelf in the garage. The question is I want the power band 2200 to 5000 RPMS. Mostly in town riding only 15% 2 up riding. Should I use one of them or sell all of them and get something else

What is the CC volume of the pistons? What is the deck height?

Is the motor assembled? If so what cams are in it now & what is the CCP?

Wow, I don't know. But if you really want to talk to a "gear head", come on down here to Montgomery, TX and let Danny of Danny's Cycles take a look. He has long time references out the whazoo here in the local area.

After he torques, cams, and dyno tunes it, we'll all ride off for a beer. This is not a good place to answer your question because all the "gear heads" are working on bikes instead of screwing around on forums.

Cheers,
Woolly

Either the 211s or 251s would work in that build, there's too much compression for the 204s. Tough to tell without a little more info, but your static compression should be somewhere over 10.5.

With the milled heads and oversize valves, you must clay the pistons to ensure proper valve-to-piston clearance. You'll likely need to fly-cut the valve relief pockets in the pistons, which is no big deal as long as you find out about it before-hand. I'd go ahead and do a deck check, and run a .030 head gasket if you're zero deck or slightly in the hole.

I love the old school idle of the 211s, there's not many cams that sound that nasty. The 251s will likely return better performance, but it wouldn't be by a huge margin (compared to the 211s). No way of actually knowing until the cams were installed and dyno'd. There are plenty of other cams that would also work well.

SnS 570 cams get used in the "Hippo" builds, which use similar heads, but with flat top pistons, not popups. Your higher compression pistons will require a later cam, something in the mid 40's* ABDC should work well, which puts it in the range of the 211 and 251 cams, as well as some others like the Woods 8, or the 408-44.
