Hey Hob,
quick question! I also have the #2-#2(A), but I'm still under 500mi with them. I know how to adjust and log for diferent riding conditions etc... and I also know that I will have to re-adjust after break in period, but I was curious as to what your experience in the difference was from new to 500+ miles on them? were they better, the same, and what difference was the spring pre load after broken in.
Im really happy with mine, I was just wondering if you are with yours since we have the same type of Ohlins? Thanks brotha!
sorry for temp hyjack
i have about 1200 miles on mine and they havnt broken in yet. i keep checking them before every ride, and havent had to adjust sage yet. i ride 2 up 99% of the time.
My bike had only 2 holes 5/16" (8mm). Race Tech called for 6. When I first talked to Race Tech they said that they thought that the Harleys had enough holes and that there was no need to remove and drill the rod. I think that when HD designed the new touring bikes with their valve in it that they reduced the number of holes. I called HD to make sure that my rods were only supposed to have 2 holes because it makes no sense to reduce holes in the rod and use a valve. I thought that my bikes may have gotten the wrong rods. They looked at the drawings and confirmed that there were only supposed to be 2 holes. My bike is a 2009 FLHX.
