gas gauage problems

Default gas gauage problems

my 06 street glide gas gauge has quite working. i was riding in the rain and it stoped working. its alwasy fogged up in the past. i was wondering if its the gauge or maybe its in the tank.has anyone else ever have had this problem.

Ive had gauges fog up from time to time but everything works fine. Only thing i notice with the gas gauge is that it not the most accurate gauge on the planet. I only use it as a reference cuz i use my trip meter instead.

Yep my 04 FLHT has a weird Gas Gauge also ....Last week gauge was on half and low light went on...good thing i went buy the low light!!!One more thing to check this off season

There is nothing wrong with it. Just because it is not assembled and sealed properly.
It happened to me once during a downpour. I disconnected all the connectors, cleaned with electric connector cleaner (Radio shack), applied dielectric grease, then plugged everything back in.
No more problem since, even I have ridden hours in heavy downpour.

I just had mine replaced, it quit after a rain storm that I rode in.
Good thing I have extended warranty , the radio , and stator ,and regulator were replaced too.

Have 06 Streetglide same thing happened. Just replaced it. works fine now.
