I've been using the Locktite products for years on both large and small diesel and gas engines onboard ships operating in very harsh environments. Locktite has a handy kit that contains five sticks of the most common thread treatments for locking and lubricating threads. It is quite handy to have in the garage when working on your bike or automobile. (Loctite 38725 Loctite Thread Treatment Sticks Kit - 5 sticks) Just remember if you use the red highstrength thread lock you will have to use heat if you ever need to remove the nut or bolt in the future.
The silver "anti-seeze" can have either a nickel or zinc base. The nickel is recommended to be used with stainless steel and the zinc recommended for use with aluminum such as your engine and cylinder heads. The zinc base can also be used with stainless steel. The Copper base antiseeze is for high temperatures (upto 1800 Degrees F and can be used with stainless steel and high nickel alloy bolting.
