Silver and yes I recently started using it on plug threads. I used to just coat with oil but a plug got scary stuck in my stock head once. Silver anti seize ever since.
I hate to tell you clowns, but there is a huge difference between copper and silver! I used copper on my plugs one time a few years ago, and next thing ya know, my wife left me, i got laid off, my teenage daughter got pregnant and Guns and Roses broke up. Had I known all that was gonna happen i woulda used silver!

I buy a regular bottle of the stuff and apply with an artists small tipped paint brush. The true artist brush is just stiff enough. Works like a charm to put as much or as little as you want, right where you want with no mess no fuss!
Damn. I ain't that sophisticated. I use whatever is handy... screwdriver tip, stick, finger, etc.
I have been useing Anti Sieze for aluminum on the spark plugs of my boat and bikes for years. I just recently learned that they make a anti-sieze especially for spark plugs something to do with conductivity. I think I will try to get me some for next time.
Use the zinc (silver) Not the copper (thinks its for high heat on stainless) Just a film on top edges of the plug threads. I just run up snug and bump it 1/8 inch on my 8" long offset box wrench on the spark plug socket. Seems to me it gets tighter, not loose. My fuel fitting on the tank gets in the way of a ratchet.

Anyone who's ever had to deal with a heli-coil uses anti-seize religiously on their spark plugs. Sure, none of us would pull a plug out of a hot head, but anti-seize is the anti-galling agent you need even on a cold motor.
I also index my plugs. They sell special washers for this. It's a packet of thin washers of varying thicknesses. I'm not totally convinced it does any good in our motors but it makes sense theoretically and makes me feel better, LOL!
Here's where I get them (less than 10 bucks) and this page also explains the concept if you're unfamiliar with them.

I've seen those, and I agree with you about the theory part. have you seen or felt any difference? gas mileage better? I've pondered them, but I think that if you were looking for every last ounce of hp, it might pay off, for us street guys, I don't know. My hat off to you for doing it though, worth the time to make "you feel better!"
