My 2000 RK was running rough at low speeds (25 mph or less) so I took it in. I've only had the bike a couple of months and it's my first Harley. They are recommending either a PC or an ECM system by Harley that is now programmable. Any thoughts or opinions would be helpful. The ECM is $100 cheaper than the PC and it's what they recommend. Thanks in advance.
Hang on, you'll get some good suggestions--- the early EFI systems were sometimes replaced by carbs which is an easy conversion.
Which shop are you using, I ask because I think Stubbs is useless.
- dealerships tend to have younger techs fresh out of school who have a narrow scope of experience and do not think outside the box.
There are a couple of well regarded indys around as well, and you may get some good recommendations, there are alot of AZ riders here
One of the techs at Chandler HD came highly recommended. This is my first Harley and I would like to find someone trustworthy to do the work. I don"t mind paying but I don't want to get screwed that bad.
