Does your tuner not do TTS? Just wondering. As mentioned by previous poster, I believe a good TTS dyno tune will serve you better -- but just my experience(s)...

You have a good build going and good parts selected (I'd do a couple of things differently - but it's just personal choice) and included some thought to the clutch which will be the key to getting the torque to the rear wheel.... good luck. Interested to see how it turns out.

Clutch work will be a necessity. A previous poster mentioned AIM products are a good choice. Will be interesting to see how that big throttle body works out. If he exceeds 125hp it maybe ok? If not, it could be temperamental in parking lots and such. For the money a 120R would have been a lot less hard on the pocket book. There are guys getting 135/135 +/_ with the 120R on a regular basis. I'm anxious to see the Dyno sheet for this one Heads look good. Good luck with that Thunder Max.

Well it was together and running last Thursday night. Friday on the dyno for 100 miles of heat cycles and initial tuning of the Thundermax. I went over Friday afternoon and it sounds GREAT!!! Smooth runnning and a really quiet valve-train. My builder has only done heat cycles and no passes on the dyno for numbers yet. Going to put 500 miles, change the oil and another 400, change to synthetic and make some hard passes. I will tell you this, at 2500 rpm's the torque is in the 110 ft. lbs range and that is not under hard accell! Just builds very quickly and then goes up. The engine revs have been kept under 4500 during this break in process. I did see 111/124 easily obtained. So I think this is going to be a really strong runner! After the break-in period Barry will do some final tuning and then we will make some passes for numbers. I am running a Scorpion clutch and we had to up the springs from #2 to #3 with #4 being the strongest as we had a little clutch slippage! Looks like it will be a torque monster. I am going to try and pick it up sometime this week if I can get away from work but next Saturday for sure and will post more on how it feels on the road. The Thundermax is one incredible ECM!!! Oh, and I need a bigger air cleaner!!!! The SE I have might be a little restrictive!!!

Rings are already seated. Let it rip. Sounds like it's gonna be real impressive. Congrats.

Sounds good. Thank you for the update. No surprise on the clutch. Your numbers will improve I suspect as you get it dialed in.

The pipe I used is a V&H Pro Pipe chrome. I took the restrictive plug out and may wind up cutting the baffle shorter if needed. It is straight through and seems to be working well. Sounds awesome but we will have to see. Really don't want to spend money for another pipe at this point in time! Although the rings may be seated this is really a new engine so I do want to take it easy for the first 1000 miles as I have invested $$$ in this build. I will be getting a sest of the pants feel soon and I am sure I will twist the wick pretty good a couple times! Not going to baby it just let all the new parts get to know each other first.
