Default how low can it go???

I would love to lower my RK classic about an inch so I can be more stable at stops...outside of a lower seat, which I have requested in another thread, what is the easist way to accomplish lowering the back a lil?

You can swap shocks for a set of 12" SG shocks, but you will lose some suspension

The low profile ones you have the link for....Are they relatively easy to change?

Not sure, I had the dealer put them on when I bought the bike, no time to f**k with it, there are instructions in the link, doesnt look too bad.

Low profile shocks in the rear and 1 lnch lowering springs in the forks should do it for you

It will only take 30 mins to swap shocks and that's if you have never done it before. Also google 1" lowering kit for your year and model bike, these are also about a 30 min install and less than $100.

You can do both also. I also have a 2" lowering kit, but I would only do that if you are a 100% solo rider, not recommended for 2up. I took mine off. I ultimatly ended up going with an Ohlins 12 1/8" shock and was able to improve my suspension and lower my ride. Good luck with whatever you decide, but this is definately a do it yourself mod, too easy!

EDIT: If you are only going to lower the rear 1" then lowering the front is not nessesary.
