Default In Dash pop up GPS systems

Does anyone have any suggestions on installing an in dash pop up GPS system? Do I need to replace the entire stereo receiver? If so, how will that effect the CB and Intercom?

Thanks

Pop Up GPS - Water Proof - it will not be ... (my guess)

though a weather cover for it during wet times may suffice ... no GPS map but music can still play with the cover on it

see marine applications

your not alone in this endeavor

HD systems are 2 ohm speaker systems, stick with that or change everything, not that the HD original speakers are great anyway, their add on amps are ok ... better stuff is is everywhere

keeping the HD handle bar controls functioning is NOT likely - some companies offer HD compatible - not many - good bye CB & intercom for the most part (integrated)

$$$

I added this mount to my RG -scroll through the pix below the opening pix (see last pix with the Garmin) - mine is hard wired with hidden wires , with quick release ... My garmin is also a up to 16 gig mp3 player ... I like it - but only water resistant (NUVI 765) like others here do - just remove it in rain or cover it with a baggie, the garmin water proof MC GPS is pricey and NOT large ...

any permanent mount unit will be obsolete before the install is complete.

almost everybody carries a smart phone, which can be a GPS and so much more for less. and ungraded as needed
