I'm not sure about production dates at the Manufacturing facilities. But the new models are announced every year, 3rd week of July. And it usually takes a while before there are many available at the dealers. I'm guessing they don't switch production dates too far in advance of the new models being announced.

I know that's some form of English but I'm not sure what in the hell you are talking about.

I believe the 1st week of August is when the new years bikes go on the showroom floor.
They start shipping to dealers a few weeks prior.

My '08 was built in June of '07. I'm guessing they switch production over in June.

The new date for new model release is now sometime in July that's why we saw many 2012's on the showroom floor this summer in late July. This was the first year HD did this and I think it had something to do with pricing and production. The peak riding season is summertime this also happens to be around the time when sales peak for HD so this early release allows dealers to have more bikes on hand. Not sure when they fire up the assembly lines but I don't think it takes long to make anything anymore.
