Been reading about Yaffe bars and most people, (mostly with monkey bars) say the same thing, 10's look like 12's, 12's look like 14's. Thinkin about building my own this winter. Probably not much less $$$, but can make height and hand angle what I want. Just not sold on spending that much $$$ and not know what I'm gonna get.
Looks like the monkey bar mock up pics are pretty accurate, they must be the same dimensionally. I might as well give em a try, just need a new clutch cable. Mike
If all else fails, I know they show you how they measure their bars (they have a sketch on their site). Looks like a pretty easy thing to do if you are looking to confirm heights.
Monkeybars are taller than other brands. I'm installing my 10" bars this weekend, and they look to be the exact height of what's in your picture. The clutch cable will need to be replaced. Some say they have reused the stock cable, but I find it hard to believe it will fit AND work properly.
yes sir, it fit and work properly. You just need to let it free inside the fairing or reroute it if you want. Same thing for the brakes, it works too.
I've got my PYO since 2 years now and no problems

Mine's an '08, which has the 6-speed. Not sure, because I haven't seen your bike, but I guess it's possible they used a different clutch cable from an '04 to an '08. I looked at mine pretty close, and I didn't see how it could have been routed any more direct. I don't think mine would have worked with the taller bars. Just sayin'.
No biggie anyways, I upgraded to ss braided lines in the process.
JIM i really like that red and purple. Its different...good work!
Thanks brotha, that's cool coming from a guy that has my favorite bike on the forum! There is a story behind it haha. The bike was given to me by my father-in-law years ago. The only request he had was that I don't paint it! Although I've modded everything else, I have kept my word.
