I need help.
What size sockets are the spline looking bolt heads? I tried a torx socket and the wall thickness on the socket is too wide to fit the pad pins so I can't tell if the size is right or not.

I think it is a 12 point head so you will need a 12 point socket for best results. I can't remember the size, is it 1/4"?

 

It is a 12 point head, and it's millimeter. I haven't done this on my UC, but the Sporty is 10 mm 12 point

And I know from working on friends Dyna's and Softails, they are also 10 mm 12 point. I just haven't done a brake job on a Touring bike yet.

Front caliper bolts, you need a 12pt 10mm socket. Little bolts to remove pads , you need a 12pt 1/4 socket

 

Unless he has a bike with Brembo's. Then it is a allen head. Cant remember the size though
