The rest is a peice of cake. Go ahead and take it apart. The clutch is on the otyher end of the splined shaft sticking out of the starter. The motor is the round part leave that together and take the solenoid housing off. The bolts are are on each side of the splined shaft. The clutch is in there. Pinion shaft is quite a bit different than the 07's.

Yes the starter clutch is part # 15. Just tap it out with a hammer. The new one will be a complete unit like the one you remove. It looks like this:

Need to get the right year model. If you are upping compression I would get a higher KW starter. KW is the Euro rating (and as usual more accurate) for power output and the higher the KW the more HP. There are 2 KW starters on the above web for less than I would have thought you could get them wholesale. Not sure of reputation but I think I would go for it. It doesn't sound like you have bought the clutch yet.
i just ordered the starter clutch from my dealer and will have the parts this evening. that is a good price on that starter but i called the company and asked about a 2kw starter and they said it was longer and if i had room it would work but it was a pain getting mine out so i doubt the 2kw would fit. if i do the upgrades to the motor i will probably put in comp. releases
I think I would have gone with an All ***** clutch rather than HD but who knows what you really get these days. All ***** are sold on line or through Drag Specialties for quite a bit less. After talking to some dealers parts departments I think the MOCO has known for some time the clutches were are a problem.
Good Luck with it. Be sure you don't take the motor side of the starter apart and look for the ball inside the shaft on the right end of the clutch. My new clutch came with a new ball and you don't want 2 of them in there.
