Default Mustang seat question

2012 Limited, stock seat with HD's adjustable riders backrest. Will a Mustang touring seat fit over this HD backrest ? Thanks Craig

The wide touring will fit with either the HD or Mustang backrest. I prefer the Mustang version which I have on my 11 FLHTK.. Some seats might not work due to the rearward sitting position. The Lowdown has it's own built in backrest support to accept the Mustang backrest.

Sell the Harley seat and backrest and go all in with Mustang. You will never look back.

Thanks for the responses. Now that I have the W577's on, and in their most pulled back position, I am leaning back into my back rest = real comfy ! But now I think my Butt wants to slid forward ! I say "I think" becouse it is such a new seating position, I need to ride and experiment some more, before I make a decision if I need to change seats. But that is good to hear that the HD backrest will work with Mustang's touring seat.
Thanks again guys, Craig

It depends on the mustang seat. It should tell you in the description if it will or not. If not, give mustang a call and I am sure they will be glad to assist you.

HD seats are junk and the backrests are too.

Go with all Mustang.

With my tour pak on and rigged for touring it's the only way to ride.

Like all posts on this forum there are different responses to all questions. I put a Mustang seat on a Sportster and did not like it at all. It was very stiff and firm, just not for me. I really have enjoyed the stock seats on both the Sporty and Road King. I know I am the only one who likes the stock seat.

There are many things that will change the comfort of any given component. A couple of months ago I added the HD angled highway pegs and they allow me to sit back against the backrest more, really improving comfort. They also can change how much of my butt and where it is on the seat. When you start playing with bars, seats, shocks, ie ride height, backrests, pegs, changing one can change how the others feel. Right now I like how mine is set up.
