Default Early Christmas, ready for riding!

I finally got around to installing almost everything I had been planning to do this winter. The installs went a little easier than I had planned with just my basic tools, I did remove my lower forks and have the dealer install the Progresive monotube shocks and chrome lowers but I was able to do the rest and save some money from having someone else install for me.
New to the bike are the monotubes and chrome front end kit, some 06 lower fairings that I bought for $300 off ebay, magnetic doors for the lowers and the detachable kit, and the painted inner fairing that I bought in the classifieds.
I love the way the new mods look and feel, glad I got off my tail and decided to try installing myself!
Now I'm debating installing the Woods TW-555's myself that I have sitting in a draw in my garage, the weathers to nice right now so some ridings in order. 65 deg and sunny Dec. 2nd.

how do the monotubes ride? do you feel it was worth the cost of admission? did you have renegade do the install on those? what did they charge?

inquiring minds want to know

well, it is in the low 30s in the morning.... don't worry, it'll get cold here soon enough. i'm hoping it doesn't do like last spring (hah) and go directly from winter into summer. 40s one day and almost 100 the next and didn't let up for a long damn time!

Hey Brother, the Monotubes are really nice. I've been looking for bumps and trying to get it to dive but the new shocks seemed to have cured both. They ride smooth and improve handling, now I have to work on some rear shocks.
I blame the chrome front end on your wife, after seeing how great they looked on her's I had to get some.
Yes Renagade did the work, took some explaining since they didn't know what weight the screaming eagle fork oil was but we got through it. I didn't know pacman started working in the service dept so I caught him in the parking lot and had him check in on the guy doing the work.
A couple bills to change the old hardware to the new chrome lowers and install the monotube shocks, but I was in a hurry to get them back and install them so I bit the bullet on the bill.

I think the monotubes will improve even more after they get a chance to break in, I only have a little over a 100 miles on them from getting out today but I'll get some better miles on this weekend!

Sorry I don't remember, that was a couple years ago. I used the standard height monotube kit that was available in 2011, they might be better or worse now in 2013? The first year they rode nice and now they are a little rough, when something better comes along I'll change them out.
