I feel for you. I too live in an apartment building, but fortunately, we have indoor climate controlled garage. I pay a little extra to park the bike behind my wife's car. My wife's Deluxe is parked near a friend's house. His neighbor is elderly and can no longer drive. I asked to "rent" out his garage for her bike, my trailer and some additional items I had in a storage unit. He rents it to me at the price I was paying for my storage. SCORE!!
What ever you do find something now until you can get a more permanent fix. You will regret the deterioration that will happen by leaving it outside all of the time. I left my newly rebuilt Low Rider outside for less than a year while I got a building moved to my yard for my bike. Twelve years later I re did the whole bike again and still had not replaced all of the damage from leaving it out. Do not try to cover it with un supported plastic.JMO
I used the bike barn for three years while in Germany. Worked great and it does not touch the bike. There is also cycle shell that I have read good reviews. I also used the cycle shelter but did not like that one. The support rods were too flimsy, like pop up tent fiberglass tent poles.

Improved, Talk to your dealer about the leather issue. Taking a little time to do some maintance on your leather will go a long way to protect it.
Mines outside under a cover has been for 5 years with some maintance, there's no reason for your scoot to be a garage ornament. Remember it's a motor vehicle it's there for your transportation.
Try some saddle soap, followed by H/D's leather dressing p/n#98261-91V for the leather.
And a good wash with S-100 followed by a coat of H/D Gloss for the sheet metal.
As for crhome,..? I'm not a big fan but there's all kinds of crhome polishes on the market.
Cost to keep your bike clean and in good condition with rags included less than $25 with polishing towels included.

Thanx everyone, I've been eyeing the cycleshell. ill probably get that one, looks like good quality. I figure I spent big money on the purchase of a Harley I should spend money to protect her. Thanks everyone for their inputs!
I have had a Bike Barn for three years. Quality is good, great customer service, easy to put up. I also added a solar battery tender to it to keep the battery charged in between rides.
If the guy lives in a Apartment.
Do you really think they are gonna allow him to put one up?
He can use his parkin place only. And they will probaly not allow him to put one up there.
